Abstract:

This article is the result of an extensive literature search, both theoretical and practical. We searched for studies in people with Parkinson's disease.

The studies collected have a clear focus: to analyze the acoustic characteristics of the voice of the people with Parkinson's disease (PD), and see the changes in the voice of the PD that have gone through some treatment or therapy to try to improve the functionality of your voice. All this we have commented from a scientific point of view, from the studies in this area, and from a personal point of view with the comments collected from the sick and communication professionals, their personal opinions.

With all this we have resolved questions that appear in the introduction: Rehabilitation therapies of voice in people with Parkinson's disease are useful? Are positive and lasting in time changes in the voice? What changes will notice in its intelligibility? What aspects of the global communication of the person with PD will change? There will be changes in social relationships and the character of these people?

Over the years research shows there are therapies, from work voice, greatly improve the oral communication of patients with PD.
